South Asian Sisters
Meet Deepa and Julia Chin. These are two South Asian sisters we met on the streets of New York City. The told us they were from Myanmar. They said they are members of South Asian Sisters . When we asked them what that was they explained, South Asian Sisters is a diverse collective of progressive South Asian women dedicated to empowering our community to resist all forms of oppression through art, dialogue, conscious alliances, and grassroots political action. Okay. Sounds good to us. Now smile and say cheese.
